Bang Bang Chicken

Ingredients:  

For the Batter

  • 1 cup Milk
  • 3/4 cup Flour
  • 1/2 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 tbsp Hot Sauce I used Franks
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Powder

For the Bang Bang Sauce

  • 1/4 cup Mayo
  • 2 tbsp Sweet Chilli Sauce
  • 2 tsp Hot Sauce
  • 1 tsp Honey

For the Chicken

  • 3 Chicken Breasts Chopped
  • 2 cups Panko
  • 2 cups Oil

Instructions: 

  • In a bowl combine milk, flour, cornstarch, egg, hot sauce and garlic powder. Mix until a thick batter forms.
  • To that bowl, add 3 chopped chicken breasts. Make sure each chicken chunk is fully covered in the batter.
  • With tongs, take your chicken from the batter and coat in panko. It’s best to let some of the batter drip off the chicken.
  • Place your breaded chicken on a parchment lined sheet tray.
  • Place 2 cups of oil in a large frying pan set over medium heat (350F). Once heated, drop your chicken in and fry for 6-7 min or until golden brown.
  • Remove from the pan and let cool on a wire rack.
  • Into a mixing bowl, add mayo, hot sauce, chilli garlic sauce and honey. Mix well and season with a pinch of salt.
