Breakfast Biscuit Recipe

Ingredients:  

  • 1 yellow onion, diced
  • 1/2 sweet pepper, diced
  • 1/2 cup green onions
  • 1/2 cup basil
  • 5 slices bacon, cooked and diced
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (save some for the topping)
  • 12 eggs
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions: 

  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Sauté yellow onion and sweet pepper until softened. Toss in a bowl with green onions, basil, bacon, and cheese.
  • In a separate bowl, mix eggs, flour, baking powder, and salt. Combine with veggie mixture.
  • Let the batter sit for 5 minutes.
  • Scoop batter onto a lined baking sheet (about 2.5 tablespoons per biscuit). Sprinkle extra cheese on top.
  • Bake for 35–45 minutes. Increase temperature to 450°F for the final 5 minutes to achieve a golden-brown color.
  • Cool slightly before serving.
