Chocolate Cottage Cheese Cookie Dough

Hi! I’m Andy

Welcome to my kitchen.
I hope to inspire you to grow as a home cook!

A few weeks ago, we did this protein packed cottage cheese cookie dough, and it was incredible. My family loved it so much I knew I had to do a chocolate version. This Chocolate Cottage Cheese Cookie Dough (say that five times fast) is even better than the original!

How much Protein is in Cottage Cheese?

Cottage cheese has a strange amount of protein in it. If you’re like me and are always trying to sneak in a bit of extra protein in every meal, it’s an ingredient you need to get familiar with.

Think of cottage cheese as a mix of cream cheese, ricotta and yogurt. It’s creamy, with these little lumps of curds, not very appetising but trust me, you can do one million things with it.

In 1 cup of cottage cheese, there is about 25g of protein, making it your new secret weapon when it comes to adding on the gains.

What else can I put Cottage Cheese in?

I love using cottage cheese in recipes for a few reasons.

  1. Like we said above, it’s protein packed.
  1. There are tons of low fat versions.
  1. Most importantly, It had almost zero flavour. It kind of just tastes like soft milk. But that means you can add anything to it and it’ll absorb that flavour like a sponge. It’s the blank canvas of soft cheeses!

We have a few other recipes that you can try out if you’re looking for new ways to use cottage cheese!

Here’s something a little spicy and sweet!

What is the best protein powder for baking?

This is completely up to you.

For me, I’ve tried hundreds of brands and types. No two are really the same.

When it comes to making sure your baking tastes great, you’re going to want to go with a brand and flavour that works with what you’re making.

If you’re trying to make something that emulates a sweet, raw cookie dough, you might want to go with a brand that makes a lighter, sweeter and maybe chocolate flavoured protein powder.
