I make a lot of cottage cheese recipes, but this cottage cheese queso is now my favorite. Hugely flavourful, creamy, cheesy, satisfying, and packed with protein, nutrients, and low in fat.

I love regular a queso, but I do tend to feel somewhat crumby after it, but not with this lighter cottage cheese dip version. Enjoy this with nacho chips, veggies, on a burger, or sandwich. The perfect dip to truly dig into.

How to make Cottage cheese queso

Making this healthy cottage cheese dip is truly quite simple. To make your cottage cheese creamy, blend it in a food processor or blender until smooth. Some people dislike the texture of cottage cheese. However, in this cottage cheese queso, the cheese is smooth and not lumpy.

We add in some cheddar cheese, taco seasoning, and a little water. Pour that into a bowl and then add in cooked ground beef, cilantro, cheddar, diced tomatoes, and pickled jalapeños. Serve with nacho chips!

This cottage cheese queso is creamy, satisfying, and a dip you can enjoy without feeling gross afterwards. I love having some of this dip in the fridge to smear on burgers, tacos, or sandwiches. Who knew cottage cheese dips would become such a thing!

Ingredients
  

  • 750 mls cottage cheese
  • 1 package taco seasoning I used old el paso
  • 1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 lb ground beef, cooked
  • 1/2 cup pickled jalapeños, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 cup cherry tomatos, diced
  • 1/4 cup cheddar, shredded
  • 1/4 cup green onions, sliced
  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions
 

  • Into the bowl of a blender or food processor, blend together cottage cheese, cheddar, taco seasoning, and water. Once smooth pour into large bowl.
  • Add in cooked ground beef, pickled jalapeños, cherry tomatoes, cilantro, green onions, extra cheddar, and salt. Stir and adjust seasoning if needed! Enjoy with nacho chips!
