There are some drinks that instantly make me think of summer, and this homemade raspberry lemonade recipe is right at the top of that list.

It’s bright, refreshing, naturally beautiful, and surprisingly easy to make. Every time I pour a glass, it reminds me that the simplest recipes are often the ones people ask for again and again.

One of my favorite things about this raspberry lemonade recipe is how flexible it is. You can make it with fresh raspberries, swap in strawberries, use regular water or coconut water, and even add a splash of yuzu juice if you happen to have it. It always tastes fresh, vibrant, and exactly like summer should.

If you’ve only ever made a classic homemade lemonade recipe, this version is such a fun twist. It’s sweet, tart, full of fresh berry flavor, and just pretty enough to feel special without being complicated.

What Makes Pink Lemonade Pink?

This is probably the question I get asked the most.

Traditionally, pink lemonade gets its colour from fruit. Raspberries, strawberries, cherries, cranberries, or even a splash of juice can all create that beautiful rosy colour.

For this recipe, fresh raspberries do all the work.

Not only do they create that gorgeous pink hue, but they also add a fresh berry flavor that pairs perfectly with tart lemons.

If you don’t have raspberries, don’t worry. Strawberries work beautifully too, making this an incredibly versatile lemonade recipe.

Raspberry Lemonade: Why Blend and Strain ?

One of the easiest ways to make intensely flavorful lemonade is by blending the berries directly with the fresh lemon juice.

The blender extracts every bit of flavour from the fruit.

Once blended, I like to pour the mixture through a fine mesh strainer, pressing the pulp gently with a rubber spatula to collect every last drop of juice.

This extra minute gives you an incredibly smooth drink while still keeping all that beautiful raspberry flavour.

Tips for Perfect Raspberry Lemonade

Use Fresh Lemons

Fresh lemon juice makes all the difference.

Bottled juice simply doesn’t have the same brightness.

Five lemons may seem like a lot, but they create the perfect balance against the sweetness of the honey.

Honey Instead of Simple Syrup

I love using honey because it adds subtle floral notes that pair beautifully with raspberries.

Traditional lemonade often relies on simple syrup, but honey gives this recipe a softer sweetness without requiring a small saucepan while the sugar dissolves.

Coconut Water is a Fun Twist

Most days I use regular cups water, but coconut water gives this drink a subtle tropical feel that’s especially refreshing on hot afternoons.

It isn’t overpowering—it simply adds another layer of flavor.

Make This Raspberry Lemonade Your Own

One of the reasons I keep coming back to this homemade raspberry lemonade is how easy it is to customize.

Want a sweeter drink?

Add a little more honey.

Looking for extra citrus?

A splash of yuzu juice adds incredible brightness.

Want to switch up the berries?

Fresh strawberries work beautifully.

Hosting adults?

A splash of vodka turns this into an effortless summer cocktail.

The base recipe stays exactly the same, making it incredibly versatile.

Serving Ideas For Your Raspberry Lemonade

I like serving this raspberry lemonade over plenty of ice in a large pitcher with extra fresh raspberries floating on top.

A few mint sprigs make it feel extra special without adding much work.

Whether you’re serving it at a barbecue, baby shower, picnic, or simply keeping a pitcher in the fridge, it’s one of those drinks that disappears surprisingly quickly.

If you’re making it ahead, simply wait to add the ice until you’re ready to serve.

That keeps the lemonade from becoming diluted.

If you’re in the mood for something a little different, Mediterranean mint lemonade is another amazing summer drink.
