Welcome to my kitchen. I hope to inspire you to grow as a home cook!

If you’ve been looking for an easy, delicious, and nutrient-packed way to kickstart your day, you’re in for a treat. This ginger wellness shot recipe checks all the boxes: simple, healthy, and downright refreshing. So, say hello to this vibrant beet and ginger juice— nifty little beet shots that are as good for your body as they are for your soul.

The perfect antidote for those long winter months when cold and flu season seems to linger. This recipe is full of ingredients that add heat, like ginger, and offers a substantial health boost in a small glass. Whether you drink it as a morning shot or a full glass, you’ll love how easy it is to make.

A Little Prep, Big Payoff

Let’s be honest: some wellness shot recipes feel like they require a degree in juicing just to follow along. Not these beet shots!

This ginger shot recipe is simple. It uses ingredients you likely have in your kitchen or can get on your next grocery trip. Beets, carrots, oranges, green apples, kale, lemons, and, of course, a good hit of fresh ginger root.

Put them in a blender with a little salt and pepper. Add some water and blend. Then, use a spatula to push the juice and pulp through a fine mesh strainer.

And there you have it. Easy peasy. No fancy equipment needed!

The beauty of this ginger wellness shot is its versatility. A fridge-friendly recipe stores like a dream in a mason jar or airtight container for up to a week. That means you can make a hearty batch and have your daily dose of goodness ready to go.

Beet and Ginger Juice: A Natural Energy Boost

Beets are the star of the show here, bringing their signature earthy sweetness and a vibrant ruby-red color that just screams “healthy.” But it’s not just about looks— the health benefits are incredible!

Beets are full of antioxidants, fiber, and nitrates. These nutrients help support heart health and improve blood flow. If you’ve been looking for a natural way to keep your energy levels high, beet shots are your new best friend.

Paired with ginger’s zesty punch and anti-inflammatory powers, the natural sweetness of this ginger wellness shot is like a spa day for your insides. All about balance, giving your immune system a little TLC while satisfying your taste buds. Plus, with the addition of kale and carrots, you’re sneaking in extra vitamins with this ginger shot recipe without even trying. Win-win.

No Waste, All Reward

Here’s a little bonus: this is a no-waste recipe. You know that glorious pulp left behind after you strain the juice? Don’t even think about tossing it.

We turned ours into a batch of double chocolate pulp muffins that are rich, decadent, and perfect for satisfying your sweet tooth. Yep, you read that right—this beet and ginger juice is all about balance. Take a sip of wellness, then reward yourself with a muffin (or two). It’s proof that healthy living doesn’t have to be boring.

If you’ve been following along for a while, you know we’re all about getting creative in the kitchen. Using every part of the ingredients is not only good for the planet but also good for your wallet. Those muffins are just another reminder that sustainability and indulgence can go hand in hand. Keep an eye out for that recipe—it’s coming your way soon.

Wellness in Every Sip

There’s something truly magical about a recipe that makes you feel good from the inside out. This beet and ginger juice is more than a drink. It’s a daily ritual that helps your body and brings a smile to your face.

With its vibrant color and bold flavors, these beet shots feel like a little celebration in a glass. This ginger wellness shot works great for days when you feel swamped. It helps you feel good after a weekend of overindulging. Also rich in antioxidants, it helps reduce inflammation and helps boosts your immune system, too!

And let’s not forget: this recipe is all about flexibility. Want to crank up the ginger for an extra kick that wakes you up faster than your morning coffee? Go for it.

Feeling adventurous? Add a sprinkle of turmeric or cinnamon for an unexpected twist that complements the earthy beets and zesty citrus.

Prefer your juice a little sweeter? Toss in another apple or even a splash of pineapple juice for a tropical vibe. The beauty of this ginger shot recipe is that it’s endlessly customizable, so you can make it your own.

Andy Hay says:

Glad you loved it, Meg! Delicious and good for you….best combo!

Thea says:

Excited to try this and the
Muffins! Do you think pickled beets would change the taste of the juice/muffins?

Andy Hay says:

So glad you’re excited to try them, Thea! We wouldn’t recommend using pickled beets—they’ll definitely change the flavor, adding vinegar and salt that can throw off the balance, especially in the juice. Plain beets work best with this one!

Vicki says:

Thank you for your recipes (both juice & muffins), I will definitely make both. When I’ve made my own concoction of juices I take the pulp & add it to meatloaf or meatballs because I have some friends who are not fans of both fruits & veggies….unbelievable right? But for sure she will chocolate muffins 😋

Andy Hay says:

Love that idea, Vicki! And yes, chocolate muffins are always a win, even for the fruit-and-veggie skeptics. Thanks for sharing.
