Welcome to my kitchen. I hope to inspire you to grow as a home cook!

Easter weekend is one of my favourite times to be in the kitchen. There’s something about this holiday that just brings out the best in food. I love the transition from cozy winter cooking to bright, fresh spring flavours, the big family table, the smell of carrot cake in the oven on a Saturday morning. It’s a doozy of a weekend and I absolutely love it. Whether you’re hosting a full-on Easter brunch, putting together a proper Sunday roast, or just looking for a show-stopping dessert to bring to the table, I’ve pulled together 12 of my absolute best Easter dinner and sweets recipes right here. We’re talking spiced lamb, caramelized carrots, crispy smashed potatoes and a vanilla cake loaded with Mini Eggs that is an absolute crowd-pleaser.

These are the Easter recipes I come back to every single year — impressive enough to get a reaction, but totally doable for a home cook. Let’s get into it and make this Easter the most delicious one yet.

1. Four Layer Vanilla Cake

This 4-layer vanilla cake is a total show stopper and the perfect Easter centrepiece. Rich buttercream, fluffy layers, and a mountain of crushed Mini Eggs on top. This is the kind of Easter dessert recipe that gets a reaction the second you walk it out. Give yourself some time with this one and enjoy the process. It is absolutely worth it.

This Carrot Cake Recipe With Cream Cheese Frosting is the one to bookmark if you want a truly reliable, crowd-pleasing bake for the Easter table. It’s the kind of Easter dessert recipe that fills the whole house with the most incredible smell. And bonus: it freezes beautifully, so you can get ahead and have one less thing to stress about on the day. A proper classic done right.

These Mini Egg Cookies are exactly what your Easter treat table needs. They’re buttery, chewy, absolutely loaded with crunchy Mini Egg pieces, and gone before you know it. One bowl, no fuss, and they look unreal. If you want something that has people reaching for a second one before they’ve even finished the first, this Easter dessert recipe is it.

4. Mini Egg Ice Cream

This Mini Egg Ice Cream is the no-fuss Easter recipe you didn’t know you needed. There’s no custard, no ice cream maker, no babysitting anything on the stove. You whip the cream, fold in the sweetened condensed milk and a mountain of crushed Mini Eggs, and let the freezer do the heavy lifting. Rich, creamy, and packed with that signature chocolatey crunch, it is genuinely one of the easiest Easter sweets recipe you can pull off at home.

5. DIY Starbucks Egg Bites

These DIY Starbucks Egg Bites are the kind of Easter recipe that just makes everyone happy — endlessly customizable, totally effortless, and genuinely hard to stop eating. Load them up with sundried tomatoes, green onions, and ham, or swap in whatever you’ve got on hand. They’re the perfect low-effort addition to a big brunch spread so you can save your energy for the showstoppers.

6. Mortadella Breakfast Sandwich With Crispy Parmesan Buns

This Mortadella Breakfast Sandwich with Crispy Parmesan Buns is the kind of thing that makes Easter morning feel genuinely special — smoky mortadella, a fried egg, and a tangy creamy spread all piled onto a buttery bun with those shattery crisped cheese edges. It’s nostalgic and elevated all at once, which is honestly my favourite combination. The kind of Easter recipe you need two hands to hold and zero reasons to share.

7. Grilled Ham And Cheese : Easy Waffle Press Method

The best part of Easter dinner is honestly the leftover ham the next day, and this is exactly how I use it. Honey ham, sharp cheddar, and a swipe of jam inside a croissant, pressed flat in a waffle iron until it’s crispy and melty and golden. This Easter recipe is sweet, salty, and an absolute small victory of a sandwich.

8. Fancy Grilled Cheese Elevate Your Sandwich Game

This Fancy Grilled Cheese is giving European bistro energy and I am completely here for it. We’re talking a balance of savoury and sweet, elevated with the kind of thoughtful touches that make a simple sandwich feel genuinely special — the sort of thing that looks impressive on the table without demanding hours in the kitchen. If you want something an Easter recipe that still delivers on comfort and flavour, this one is it.

9. Lamb and White Bean Hummus

Every great Easter gathering needs a killer appetizer, and this lamb and white bean hummus is exactly that. It looks like something you’d order at a restaurant but comes together fast with a skillet, a food processor, and a handful of bold spices. Serve this Easter recipe family-style with warm pita and watch it disappear before the main course even hits the table.

10. BBQ Greek Lamb Burger with Tzatziki

Lamb is the Easter protein, but sometimes you just want to get outside and fire up the grill — and this Greek lamb burger is exactly the move. Packed with feta, olives, and mint, then topped with a creamy homemade tzatziki, it is a guaranteed hit at any backyard Easter gathering. Add this to your rotation immediately.

11. Roasted Carrots with Harissa and Herbed Yogurt

We are not doing boring boiled carrots at this Easter table. These get roasted until the edges caramelize and the natural sweetness really comes through, then served over bright herbed yogurt with a hit of spicy harissa butter. Sweet, spicy, creamy, crunchy —this Easter recipe hits every note and always disappears fast.

12. Oven Baked Crispy Smashed Potatoes

These Oven Baked Crispy Potatoes are the kind of side dish that quietly steals the show — salty, golden, and crispy on the outside with that perfectly fluffy middle that makes it genuinely impossible to stop eating them. They’re the sort of thing that disappears off the table before you’ve even sat down, and I mean that as the highest compliment. An absolute no-brainer addition to the Easter recipe spread.

Final Thoughts

That’s my Easter lineup — a mix of cozy classics, fresh spring flavours, and a few fun twists that keep things interesting. Whether you’re going all out with a full spread or just picking one or two recipes to bring to the table, the goal is the same: good food, shared with good people.

And if you find yourself with a fridge full of leftover hard boiled eggs (it happens every year), don’t let them go to waste. The Kitchn has a great and easy option for using them up that’s absolutely worth checking out.

Hope you have the best Easter weekend — and that your table is full.
